10 years ago this past July, we were part of the release of a project that would change a generation. We new it was good, but had no idea of the wide ranging effects it would have on music, the culture of the time, or even on the music industry itself. On July 17th of 2008 we released the “A Kid Named Cudi” mixtape and put on an event that proved to be much more pivotal for the culture than we expected. Kanye showed up, Vashtie hosted, and we made a small batch of about 40 tees to give to friends that showed up and the few fans who might be interested in buying one. About 700 people showed up, the 20 pieces we put online sold out in a matter of minutes, and the number of tees we made fell well short of demand.
Today, marking the tenth year from its original release, we are doing a retro release of the “Up There” tee. Available exclusively at our webstore for Black Friday weekend 2018.
